Big Bad Families,

Yesterdays rehearsal was fun.  We did have a few actors that missed the rehearsal - hope they feel better quick!

  1. Actors were asked to bring the following to every rehearsal:  a Water Bottle, a Pencil (not pen), a Highlighter
  2. Music for the Prologue (opening song) was given to the actors, they practiced, the director did some blocking, and running through the song with the cafeteria surrounded by storybook characters sounded great!
  3. Script Royalty Fees ($10) are due now, so please be sure to get an official play envelope in the office or at rehearsal to submit your monies.  You can send your envelope in through the school office.
  4. CDs with music to sing-a-long to in the car, with the iPod, etc. were distributed, one per family.  If you didn't get yours, please let us know.
  5. The Scene breakdown (schedule) for the first two weeks was handed out (and has been published online).  The remaining schedule depends on identification of a new Musical Director.  (Our musical director had to bow out of the show and Amy is reaching out in the community to find a replacement.)  Stay tuned for an updated rehearsal schedule that includes the music rehearsals.
  6. Lots of parents asked about scripts.  Actors will receive these as they are called to rehearsal.  Younger actors that might not be specifically called yet will receive them well before they are needed - don't worry.  Watch for an email to let you know when they are available.
Tonight we'll be working on Grimm Scene 1, Pages 2-4 in the script:Grimm Bros, Wolf, FGM, Piper, 3 Mice, Red, Grandmother, 3 Pigs, Woodcutter, Shepard, Boy, and Sheep are called.   If your character is on the list, please have your actor there, ready to focus, learn, and have fun by 6:30pm in the CHE Cafeteria.
  • The acoustics of the cafeteria are funny, and even whispers from the big room are amplified on the stage making it difficult for the actors to hear direction, so the rehearsal is closed to anyone that is not silent in the cafeteria.
  • Parents wishing to meet about their committees or visit may convene in the foyer.

Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a tuffet,
Eating her curds and whey.
Along came a spider
And sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away.
